FERC Phone Numbers to Protest FERC Website Portal Closings

As most of you know, over the past two weekends (Thursday 12/24-Sunday 12/27) and (Thursday 12/31-Sunday 1/3) FERC shut down their e-filing system online. The first weekend, FERC said their office needed to close by direct order from the office of President of the United States. The second weekend, anyone attempting to file was met with a notice claiming “Inclement Weather” even though weather.com reported that the weather in Washington DC was in the 40’s and mostly sunny all weekend. The website portals for public input were shut down, obstructing the ability to Register, Comment, or File a Motion to Intervene. FERC’s deadline for affected citizens to register for Intervenor status on Kinder Morgan/Tennessee Gas Pipeline’s NED Pipeline Project is 5:00 pm on Wednesday, January 6, 2016.

It is very important that you call the following offices at FERC TODAY to protest the web portal closures and insist that the deadline be extended by 8 days. You can use the following numbers taken from the FERC.gov website to reach five critical players at FERC with respect to the NED Pipeline Project.

Take a moment to read the post on this website dated December 31, which contains Rosemary Wessel’s articulate letter to the President about this issue. It will help prepare you with the details you need to make your calls.
